Study Visit to the European Parliament

A three-day study visit in Brussels that provided 12 young leaders from diverse European regions with:

  • Insight into the functioning of EU institutions.
  • Direct dialogue with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
  • Workshops on policy advocacy and youth representation.
  • Networking with European youth organizations.
  • Collaborative creation of a joint public dialogue plan with EU decision-makers.

Development of the Youth Needs Collection Tool

Based on the insights from the study visit, a structured, sustainable tool is being designed to:

  • Collect real-time data on youth needs from participating communities.
  • Support ongoing youth advocacy across local and European levels.
  • Facilitate transparent and actionable feedback to EU institutions.

This tool will be piloted in the next phase of the project and integrated into future PeerCivic advocacy work.

Deliverables D3.5

Online Youth Monitoring Meetings Model

A structured two-hour online meeting designed for youth leaders and stakeholders to:

  • Facilitate meaningful dialogue between young people and decision-makers.
  • Build youth capacity in advocacy and policy monitoring.
  • Develop actionable commitments and follow-up strategies.

📅 Meeting Format:

  • Duration: 2 hours (with a 3-month follow-up phase).
  • Platform: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or equivalent.
  • Participants: Youth leaders, local authorities, policymakers, NGOs, and civic engagement experts.

Facilitator: Moderator to guide the session and capture key outcomes.

Permacultura Cantabria organized a roundtable with the Councillor for Culture and Youth of Cayón to discuss youth needs, showcase the PeerCivic toolkit, and secure commitments for future collaboration.
