Young people have an important role in the European Parliament, both as engaged citizens and as potential future decision-makers. The European Parliament, being one of the main institutions of the European Union, constantly promotes the involvement of young people in the democratic and political life of Europe. The role of young people manifests itself in several ways:

-Erasmus+ program and volunteering initiatives: These are essential to support the education, training and active involvement of young people at European level. The Erasmus+ program encourages the mobility of young people and gives them the opportunity to study, work or volunteer in different European countries.

-Debates and consultations: Parliament organizes public debates and consultations, including on topics of interest to young people such as climate change, education, jobs and digital rights. Young people are invited to express their views and contribute to policy making.

Through these mechanisms, young people become not only beneficiaries of European policies, but also active actors in defining and influencing them, having a major impact on the future of the European Union.
