Youth Resolutions
The Youth Resolutions developed within the Peer Civic project represent the collective voice of young people from six European partner countries. They are the result of a structured, multi-stage civic engagement process combining local consultation, transnational dialogue, and direct interaction with stakeholders.
How the Resolutions Were Developed
The development process followed a structured methodology:
Youth Needs Identification
Young participants first engaged in local training courses where they identified key concerns, priorities, and challenges affecting young people in their communities. These discussions were facilitated using participatory methods and documented to ensure transparency and accuracy.
National Deliberation
Each partner country consolidated local inputs into National Youth Resolutions. These documents reflected country-specific priorities while remaining aligned with the European Youth Goals and the EU Youth Strategy.
Transnational Dialogue
During the Online Youth Debate Event, participants from all partner countries engaged in structured cross-border discussion. This process enabled comparison of national priorities and identification of shared European themes.
European Consolidation
Building on the national contributions, a European Youth Resolution was drafted, capturing common priorities and shared recommendations for policymakers at European level.
Presentation in Brussels
The final European Youth Resolution was formally presented during the Study Visit to Brussels (March 2025). Youth representatives engaged in dialogue with European-level stakeholders and decision-makers, ensuring that the document moved beyond consultation into direct civic engagement.
Access the Resolutions
The Youth Resolutions aim to achieve the following objectives and are embedded within a broader monitoring and accountability framework developed through the project, rather than functioning as standalone advocacy documents:
- Articulate clearly defined youth priorities
- Promote structured dialogue between young people and decision-makers
- Strengthen democratic participation
- Support accountability through the Monitoring Plan
- Contribute to the objectives of the European Youth Strategy
From Resolution to Accountability
The Youth Resolutions are supported by the Monitoring Plan and Monitoring Toolkit, which provide practical mechanisms for tracking commitments and maintaining dialogue with elected representatives.
